Our mission is to provide the best possible environment in which to promote each child's individual physical, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual growth. The value of developing of the "total child" is a cornerstone of our program. We work to strengthen a child’s capacity to establish healthy and meaningful relationships with peers, to share, and to respect themself and others. Children learn through play; everything around them is an opportunity to learn. Our experienced staff helps children find ways to meaningfully engage with the world around them, finding joy and satisfaction in creative work and play. Our faith-based program helps children to know God through Jesus, through His Church, and His world. Here at First Presbyterian Preschool, we have been helping children learn and grow for over fifty years. It is our mission to continue helping children learn and grow for many years to come.
- Our preschool hours are 9:00am - noon with an optional Lunch Bunch program from noon - 1:00pm.
- We offer preschool classes for ages two through Kindergarten.
- In addition, we have a Toddler Time program for children for one year and older.
- Our Kindergarten class meets from 9:00am - 1:00pm Monday - Thursday and 9:00am - noon on Fridays.
- Each classroom is staffed with two qualified teachers.
- Our teachers attend classes each year including CPR/First Aid, staff development workshops and professional training courses for teaching techniques and curriculum.
